Strategic Planning Process

Roger Weaver and The Weaver Group do institutional strategic planning on a values-based model.   A strategic planning process that will positively and effectively support a school’s sustainability, vitality, and growth most often derives from a process that is internal and reflective before it is external and outcome driven.  The most useful planning process is one that starts not with how to be new and different, but with how the school can even more fully manifest its strongly-held core values and mission in the way it undertakes and supports teaching and learning and all that surrounds that.  Such a process give substance and clarity to the school’s identity and sends a clear, substantive message about it both to current and potential families, and to the larger community.  It not only clarifies the basis and direction for school growth and change, it is an authentic and compelling form of institutional branding. It is the clearest possible statement the school can make about who they are.
